We developed software that converts Webflow websites into Shopify templates, primarily for drliv.com. The impetus behind this software was the unmaintainable code for the Dr. Liv website, which made updates increasingly challenging or impossible. Additionally, creating custom Shopify websites is challenging for non-developers. We designed a solution that effortlessly allowed designers to integrate Shopify functionality into websites by adding custom attributes. Some of the supported functionalities included translations and plugin integrations. The final solution saved the company thousands and has the potential to become a successful standalone product, as there's no direct competitor.
We worked on automating many of the processes within the Investment Management department, specifically for the Investment Performance Analysis team. Much of the software we created involved automating the collection, processing, and uploading of investment performance data. Some examples of software we developed were a web app that provides a comprehensive overview of many data sources with various checks for anomalies, a desktop app that extracts and validates performance data from emails, and a desktop app that generates quarterly performance report presentations. Much of this software reduced manual intervention from hours/weeks to minutes.
We worked on developing a revolutionary, feature-rich volunteer management platform (volunteero.org) from scratch. The entire platform consisted of a website, iOS app, Android app, volunteer web app, and management web app. The platform has onboarded hundreds of charities and thousands of volunteers and received various grants (e.g. from the Scottish government). It was also featured on various publications (e.g. the BBC). An impressive software engineering feat we achieved was developing a chat system that allowed chats to have groups of volunteers as members, e.g. a chat could be created with "John Smith" and "Spanish speakers in London".
For Cave, we developed an AI chatbot called the "AI CEO". This chatbot was trained with knowledge from various data sources and responds in the voice of any person. One of its applications was enhancing the customer feedback experience. By allowing recipients of a link to have a voice conversation with the AI CEO, who would ask questions, participants could avoid the hassle of filling out an online form. Since the chatbot would promptly respond to customer feedback, it encouraged participants to provide more detailed responses.
